Marchese named to library board

Lamar Marchese, president and general manager of KNPR 89.5-FM, the public radio station serving the Las Vegas area, has been appointed to a four-year term on the board of the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District.

Marchese worked for the district as a program coordinator from 1972-79. It was during that time that Marchese became the volunteer chairman of the nonprofit corporation working to put Southern Nevada's first full-power public radio station on the air. Marchese left the district in 1979 to become KNPR's general manager.
