Letter: Nevadan’s won’t speak out against nuclear dump site

If we would have been concerned about the dangers, or the transportation across the states, we would have complained. But as you may have noticed, only a few persons have.

The casinos aren't concerned about the fall-off of visitors; our citizens have not volunteered to obtain thousands of signatures on petitions in protest, to send to Washington; and no leader has spoken up about marching in Las Vegas (much less marching in Washington) to protest.

So, obviously, the answer is clear: Bring your waste here, temporarily or permanently. We might not welcome it with open arms, but you won't hear us complain. Those 10,000 years will fly by before we know it. And, as a bonus, our population growth problems will be definitely eliminated.
