Metro vice stings net 39

A total of 39 more people have been accused of soliciting female undercover Metro Police officers for sex during recent reverse stings.

The list of arrestees includes a waiter, two auto mechanics, a handbiller, a local juvenile, a chef, a skating rink owner, a restaurant owner, a construction worker, a taxi driver, a real estate agent and a race book ticket writer, police said.

They range in age from 17 to 59, and the majority -- 26 arrestees -- are locals. Tourists gave home addresses from Arizona, California, Idaho, Texas, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and England.

The stings were held at undisclosed locations on Feb. 13, Feb. 17, March 2 and March 14.

A 37-year-old North Las Vegas woman also was arrested and charged with loitering for the purpose of prostitution.
