Stewart may run Las Vegas twice

Indy Racing League stalwart Tony Stewart said it's conceivable he could be racing twice in Las Vegas this year.

The USAC short-track phenom from Rushville, Ind., is a definite for the Oct. 11 IRL night race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where he'll drive the Team Menard G Force-Aurora. During a Las Vegas visit Tuesday, Stewart also hinted of returning to LVMS in November, when the the barnstorming World of Outlaws winged sprint car series returns for two shows.

That possibility developed when Wo0 regular Dave Blaney tested Stewart's IRL car at Phoenix and told Stewart he had a backup sprinter available.

"It's definitely a possibility," Stewart said about making his Wo0 debut on the LVMS dirt oval.
