"Trooper Roper had the green light," Harney said. "The other vehicle failed to stop for the red light and struck the trooper's driver's side." Roper, an eight-year NHP veteran, was taken to University Medical Center where he was in stable condition this morning with back and neck injuries. The driver of the Acura, 20-year-old David Holmes of Las Vegas, was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on felony DUI charges.
