Keller appeared before the Las Vegas City Council Monday to reaffirm his commitment to fighting crime in Meadows Village, long known as the Naked City because of its high crime rate.
The area has been the scene of five slayings and 14 shootings in the past eight months.
Jones has said in recent weeks that crime is rampant in the area, with police presence dropping.
Keller said police presence in the area remains strong, with more officers devoted to Meadows Village than any other downtown area.
Jones said she is not trying to place blame for the problems, but just wants to see them solved.
