UNLV News: Lady Rebels split

Shortstop Kim Rondina hit two home runs to lead the UNLV softball team to a 12-4 rout of Northwestern and a split of a doubleheader with the Big 10 school Tuesday on the Lady Rebels' diamond. Rondina drove in four runs with her ninth and 10th homers of the season. Catcher Julie Crandall had three RBIs as UNLV improved its overall record 1o 14-12. Crandall drove in four runs with two homers and right fielder Heather Siegel had three RBIs in the first game but Northwestern prevailed, 8-7.

In other UNLV news:

Rain and lightning forced cancellation of the last round, giving the Rebels golf team the title in the 31st annual Cleveland Golf/Morris Williams Intercollegiate tournament in Austin, Texas. It was UNLV's third win of the spring.
