The lecture is the second of a four-part series on the mind-body connection in health, co-sponsored by the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District and University Medical Center.
Dr. Allan Stahl will discuss the effect of stress on the heart and blood vessels, the connection between anxiety and emotions on the heart, and heart pathology.
Participants will learn how a stress-management program and lifestyle changes are heart-protective strategies and how emotional and social support is very important for heart patients.
