And we were also informed that the New York-New York outfit - whose paint is barely dry - is expanding. And our esteemed leaders have the nerve to talk about the problems of growth. Talk is cheap.

Perception problem

I'd like to comment about Jeremy Anderson and especially his mother. I think these two need counseling. If she can't see and accept the wrongness of her son's actions, then she better be ready to visit him in jail in years to come. If she thinks her misconception of love is protecting her child and lying for him and not accepting his faults, then I feel sorry for both of them.

Breathless in Las Vegas

To threaten to withhold support of (pedestrian) walkways, which are needed to relieve the congestion the casinos themselves have caused, is tantamount to holding your breath until you get your way - or right of way as the case may be. In the meantime, like last year, dozens of pedestrians will be hurt or lose their lives. This monopoly game of the rich boys shows a callous disregard for the community as well as their out-of-town guests.
