Las Vegas’ future topic of television special

The future of Las Vegas is the topic of a two-hour television special tonight.

"Preview '97, The Future of Las Vegas ... Today!" airs 9-11 p.m. on KLVX Channel 10.

It will include segments from the Preview '97 conference held in January at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Speakers at that event who will be included in the television special include Steve Wynn, chairman of Mirage Resorts; Terry Lanni, chairman of MGM Grand Inc.; Clyde Turner, chairman of Circus Circus Enterprises; Stephen Bollenback, president of Hilton Hotels Corp.; John Goolsby, president of Howard Hughes Corp.; Brian Greenspun, president of Greenspun Inc.; and Anthony Marlon, chairman of Sierra Health Services.

Additional interviews used in the show include Sheriff Jerry Keller, who talks on crime reduction and law enforcement; Pat Mulroy, director of the Southern Nevada Water Authority; Clark County Commissioner Bruce Woodbury, who talks on the beltway project; county Aviation Director Bob Broadbent, who discusses the McCarran International Airport expansion; and County Commissioner Lorraine Hunt, chairwoman of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
