The Cessna U206B was piloted by Ron Lukas, 36, of Douglas County, owner of Nevada Jewelers and Loan. Also on the plane were his wife, Lisa, 38, his stepbrother, Steve Schantz, and Schantz' roommate, Erick Lunquist.
Lukas wanted to show his wife the restaurant that his father, Reinhold Lukas, owns in Clements, located in Calaveras County.
The elder Lukas, who also owns a flying club in Concord, Calif., went searching by air for the missing plane on Monday but had no luck.
