Audrey Adler

Audrey Adler, 90, of Portland, Ore., died Thursday in Portland. She was born July 20, 1910, in Snow, Idaho. A former resident of Las Vegas and Henderson, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one nephew, David Freeman of Portland.

Marion G. Baldwin

Marion G. Baldwin, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 4, 1918, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired clerk for an air conditioning company.

She is survived by one son, Michael Baldwin of Sebastopol, Calif.; and one daughter, Patricia Romine of Las Vegas.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Edward J. Beck

Edward J. Beck, 71, of Las Vegas died June 24 in Sarasota, Fla. He was born June 13, 1929, in McKeesport, Pa. A resident for 37 years, he was a groundskeeper at the Sahara-Nevada Country Club.

He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Cotero of Las Vegas and Sandra Beck Cobaugh of Ohio; three sons, Danny Beck of Ohio, Michael Cotero of Maryland and Edward Harrison of Florida; one sister, Janis Bonine of Florida; one brother, Harry Beck of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services were in Sarasota. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Frank Beitz

Frank Beitz, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 28, 1916, in Cincinnati. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired printer, a World War II Army veteran and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1753 (Fred S. Pennington Post).

He is survived by his wife, Elsie; one daughter, Nancy Jacobs of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mickey B. Best

Mickey B. Best, 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 24, 1927, in Rifle, Colo. A lifelong resident, he was an electrician, a Navy veteran, a member of the Elks and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda; one son, Mark Johnson of Las Vegas; two daughters, Deanna Green of Las Vegas and Renee Johnson of Oklahoma; and four grandchildren.

Mary Elizabeth Boland

Mary Elizabeth Boland, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 17, 1920, in North Carolina. A resident for four years, she was a real estate broker, a member of the Salvation Army in Henderson and a Red Cross volunteer for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Ray; one daughter, Delores Hagler; one brother, Jimmy Porter; three sisters, Nan Johnson, Chris Porter and Ruby Elliot; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Charles Frederick Campbell

Charles Frederick Campbell, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. He was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Iowa. A resident for 10 years, he was a newspaper photographer.

He is survived by one brother, Paul Campbell.

Yoeng Chang

Yoeng Chang, 47, of Las Vegas died July 11 in Los Angeles. He was born July 1, 1953, in Taiwan. A resident for 22 years, he was a stock trader.

He is survived by his wife, Hilary; one son, Eric Chang, and one daughter, Christina, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Yoeng Ho "Ben" of Las Vegas and Yoeng Chung of Taiwan; and four sisters, Cloud Chang, Snow, Hsiu-Mei and Hsiu-Hua, all of Taiwan.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Valentino Diaz

Valentino Diaz, 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 2, 1932, in Texas. A resident for 38 years, he was an entertainer and a veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie; three daughters, Cynthia Garcia and Michelle Torres, both of California, and Adrian Garcia of Las Vegas; two sisters, Josephine Garcia and Marcelina Rodriguez, both of Texas; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. today with 7:30 p.m. services in Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.

Daniel Fisher

Daniel Fisher, 53, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 30, 1947, in Connecticut. A resident for many years, he was a hotel manager.

He is survived by one cousin, Michael Brill of Henderson.

Joseph A. Giattino

Joseph A. Giattino, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 14, 1924, in New York City. A resident for eight years, he was a hotel elevator operator and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mamie; two sons, Vincent Giattino and Joseph J. Giattino, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Michael Giattino of Las Vegas and Peter Giattino of Bayshore, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 9:30 a.m. today in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Graveside services will be private. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Gregory L. Gonzales

Gregory L. Gonzales, 47, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 16, 1952, in Compton, Calif. A resident for 28 years, he was a registered respiratory therapist for 22 years at University Medical Center and a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; one daughter, Savanna, one stepdaughter, Jessica, and his parents, George and Vivian, all of Las Vegas.

William Francis Griffin

William Francis Griffin, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 25, 1929, in Pennsylvania. A resident for several years, he was a casino cage cashier.

He is survived by his mother, Ann Karash of Las Vegas.

David J. Heller

David J. Heller, 41, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 13, 1959, in Attica, N.Y. A resident for 41 years, he was a bricklayer.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; one son, Joshua Heller, one stepdaughter, Kristie Veloso, one stepson, Verdel Catumber, and one brother, Roger Heller, all of Las Vegas; his father and stepmother, Joseph and Elaine Heller, and one sister, Joanne Waite, all of Attica; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Jose Hernandez

Jose Hernandez, 87, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 9, 1912, in Mexico. A resident for five years, he was a retired farm laborer.

He is survived by five daughters, Anita Chaidez Mexico, Presentacion Hernandez, Julia Lopez, Graciela Chaidez and Isidra Vasquez, all of Las Vegas; two sons, Manuel Hernandez and Jesus Hernandez, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Maria Hernandez of Mexico; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Emil Kowalczyk

Emil Kowalczyk, 76, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 27, 1923, in Cleveland. A resident for three years, he was a retired director of education for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary K.; one son, Tom Kowalczyk of Fairbanks, Alaska; two sisters, Delores Duliba of Seven Hills, Ohio, and Olga Dorner of Parma, Ohio; and two grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Juneau, Alaska. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

William McLaughlin

William McLaughlin, 57, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 18, 1942. A longtime resident, he was a laborer.

Maria Del Pilar Murray, 55, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 29, 1944, in Spain. A resident for 11 years, she was an executive secretary.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold; one son, Winston Murray; one daughter, Rosemary Murray; two sisters, Carmen and Alicia; and two grandchildren.

Betty Pettit, 67, of Henderson died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 13, 1932, in Pennsylvania. A resident for many years, she worked in a photo lab.

She is survived by one daughter, Dianna E. Russo of Henderson.

Ronald George Rawson, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 7, 1932, in Overland, Mo. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired corrections officer and Air Force tech sergeant.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; one daughter, Cynthia, one son, Ronald, and one grandson, Ruben, all of Las Vegas.

Shirley J. Rohe, 52, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 24, 1947, in Tampa, Fla. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her companion, Curtis Smith of Las Vegas; one son, Lucas Shell of Macon, Ga.; and one sister, Diane Moseley of Florida.

He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Marie Patch of Indianapolis and Laura Patricia Smith of Las Vegas; one son, Jerad Smith, and his parents, Mollie N. and John W. Smith, all of Farmington; one brother, Michael William Smith of Las Cruces, N.M.; two sisters, Katherine Ann Hildebrandt of Friendship, Texas, and Kimi Jean Griego of Albuquerque; and four grandchildren.

Thomas Rubinoff Tuten, 65, of Las Vegas died July 13 in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 17, 1935, in Alabama. A resident for 20 years, he was a restaurant buffet runner, an Army veteran and a member of the Salvation Army.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one son-in-law, Robert A. McGuire; and his dear friend, Nancy Harrington.

Joseph S. Vincent Sr., 75, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 5, 1924, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. A resident for six years, he was a retired police officer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rose M.; one son, Joseph S. Vincent Jr., one stepdaughter, Nancy A. Spaduzzi, and one stepson, Gennaro J. Spaduzzi, all of Las Vegas; and one brother, Thomas Vincent of East Haven, Conn.

Frances Wolf, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 24, 1923, in New York. A resident for three years, she was a secretary for an extermination service.

She is survived by her husband, Sam; one daughter, Sherri Sanchez of Las Vegas; two sons, Neil Wolf of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., and Manny Sanchez of Las Vegas; one sister, Anne Bernstein of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; and one grandchild.

David V. Yuhase

David V. Yuhase, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. He was born Feb. 25, 1924, in Michigan. A resident for more than 30 years, he was a retired minister and a World War II Coast Guard veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine; two daughters, Cathie Deneen of Washington state and Deborah Daniels of Las Vegas; one son, Peter J. Yuhase of Washington state; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
