These aircraft are menacingly loud and disrupt the quiet of residential neighborhoods. Not only are they creating noise pollution over the Grand Canyon, they are also doing it right here in Clark County. Winged aircraft, however, are quieter; and media, police, and emergency helicopters are not a problem because they seldom fly over.
Contact with county officials has not eased the problem -- in fact, the number of helicopters has since increased!
Alternating flight patterns, better engine mufflers or higher flight levels might be of some help. It's time something better must be done!
