Pusateri out as Bally’s/Paris president

Paul Pusateri has resigned as president of Bally's/Paris Las Vegas, Park Place Entertainment Corp. announced in an internal memo today.

The memo gave no reason for Pusateri's resignation as chief of the two Las Vegas Strip resorts, which was effective immediately and followed Monday's appointment of a new chief executive at Park Place.

Pusateri has been replaced by Tony Santo, president of the Flamingo Las Vegas. Both Santo and Mark Dodson, Park Place's executive vice president of Western operations, will oversee operations at the Flamingo until a permanent president for the Flamingo is named.

Pusateri came to Bally's Las Vegas in 1997 from the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, Calif., where he was general manager. In his position as top executive at the property, he helped oversee the development and opening of Paris Las Vegas in September 1999.
