John Blackburn

John Blackburn, 66, of Las Vegas died May 5 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 29, 1934, in California. A resident for five years, he was a portfolio manager.

He is survived by three daughters, Jennifer B. Lescure, Annette Roberts and Michelle Goldsmith, all of California.

Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling private arrangements.

Roy Lee Buckner

Roy Lee Buckner, 93, of Overton died May 5 in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 5, 1908, in Asheville, N.C. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired minister.

He is survived by three daughters, June Cash and Jaylene Monjaras, both of Nevada, and Ruth McKee of California.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Grace Camastro

Grace Camastro, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 16, 1920, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired seamstress in the fashion industry.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Boyce of Dix Hills, N.Y.; two brothers, Peter Guadagni of Florida and Pat Guadagni of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and three sisters, Julie DeStefano, Gloria DiMaso and Jean Cherubino, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Monday in Palm Memorial Park.

The family suggests donations to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission, 405 W. Wilson, Las Vegas, NV 89106.

Harry Cappadonna

Harry Cappadonna, 47, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 20, 1953, in California. A longtime resident, he was a laborer in the construction industry.

Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.

Connie Donnelly

Connie Donnelly, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 28, 1921, in Cokeville, Wyo. A resident for 59 years, she was a retired elementary school teacher.

She is survived by two sons, John Donnelly of Alamogordo, N.M., and Mark Donnelly of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kristin Pinkerton of Las Vegas; and one sister, Gloria Marcom of Honey Grove, Texas.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday in All Saints Episcopal Church 4201 W. Washington Ave. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Clara V. Edden

Clara V. Edden, 68, of Converse, Texas, died Saturday in a Texas hospital. She was born July 22, 1932, in Arkansas. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip; five daughters, Cecellia Williams of Las Vegas, Janice S. Davis of Kingman, Ariz., Vickie M. Edden of Fresno, Calif., Linda Morganfield of Converse and Dorothy J. Brown of Salt Lake City; six sisters, Leo Williams and Cobell Henry, both of Kansas City, Mo., and Inez Harper, Juanita Phillis, Brenda Cluff and Linda Cannon, all of Las Vegas; six brothers, Lonnie Lawson of Atlanta, Terry Lawson, Jerry Lawson, Ronnie Lawson and Savoyd Reynolds, all of Las Vegas and James Lawson of Milwaukee; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, 1117 F St. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Orville Glassburn Jr.

Orville Glassburn Jr., 69, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born Jan. 3, 1932, in Kokomo, Ind. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired steel worker and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by four sons, Ronald Glassburn of Bradenton, Fla., Christopher Glassburn of Henderson, David Glassburn of Mexia, Texas, and Robert Glassburn of Kokomo; one sister, Jean Ann Flora of Kokomo; one brother, Robert Glassburn of Miami; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Dr. Robert Greiner

Dr. Robert Greiner, 72, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 6, 1928, in Michigan. A resident for 29 years, he was a pediatrician and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marianne; one son, Anthony Ballantoni; three daughters, Lori Greiner, Karen Greiner Burke and Christi Ballantoni; one brother, James Greiner; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4-5 p.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Annabel 'Betty' Grimenstein

Annabel "Betty" Grimenstein, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born April 8, 1917, in Hastings, Pa. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired sales associate for a jewelry company and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred E.; two daughters, Dixie A. Tienken of Panaca and Sandra Kim DuCharme of Las Vegas; one sister, Mary C. Tiganelli of Clairton, Pa.; one brother, Walter Wooster of Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Jack Hanson

Jack Hanson, 82, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 8, 1918, in Pitcher, Okla. A resident for 70 years, he was a retired owner-operator of Allen and Hanson clothing store on Fremont Street and was a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Janice Titus, and two sons, John Hanson and Jim Hanson, all of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Donald L. Kelley

Donald L. Kelley, 79, of Las Vegas died May 4 in Las Vegas. He was born March 27, 1922, in Millbridge, Mass. A resident for 39 years, he was a commercial artist for the Las Vegas Sun and the Las Vegas Review-Journal and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Jeff Kelley of Oakland, Calif., and Mark Kelley of Las Vegas; one daughter, Tracy Kelley of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 1:30 p.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Fred C. Miller

Fred C. Miller, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 7, 1918, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired airline freight manager.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret.

Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. services Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

James Rust

James Rust, 65, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 2, 1935, in Illinois. A resident for 13 years, he was an operating engineer and a member of Odd Fellows.

He is survived by his wife, June; two daughters, Sheryl Romine and Debra; and one grandchild.

Family viewing will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday in the front viewing room at Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. A memorial service will be Monday at Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society.

Lois J. Schofield

Lois J. Schofield, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born March 3, 1921, in Paris, Mo. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker and a member of North Las Vegas Women's Golf Association.

She is survived by one daughter, Sondra J. Walker of Las Vegas; two sisters, Liza Ragland of Dallas and Jane Shaw of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Paul Alexander III of Paris, Mo., and William Alexander of Fairfax, Va.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Adam Vincent Vance

Adam Vincent Vance, 36, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 7, 1964, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a convention floorman for GES Convention Co., a shop steward for Teamsters Local 631.

He is survived by one son, Harley Francis Phelan, his parents, Virginia B. and Edward W. Vance Jr., and two brothers, Daryl Vance and Edward Woodrow Vance II, all of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Lydia Vance of Las Vegas and Paula Irene Elms of Flagstaff, Ariz.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Lavada Rose Ward

Lavada Rose Ward, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 15, 1935, in Indiana. A resident for 25 years, she was a waitress.

She is survived by two sons, Douglas Picklesimer and Shawn Darin Picklesimer, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Cynthia Collins of Las Vegas and Onita Rose Holt of California; one sister, Katherine Ireen Herring; and 10 grandchildren.
