William S. Anderson

William S. Anderson, 72, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born May 26, 1929, in Sausalito, Calif. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired supervisor of maintenance for the city of North Las Vegas, a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; one brother, Gilbert Anderson of Portland, Ore.; and one sister, Roberta Lee Young of Brookings, Ore.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Johan Boers

Johan Boers, 60, of Las Vegas died Nov. 1 in Las Vegas. He was born March 9, 1941, in Hague, Holland. A resident for 14 years, he retired from the armed forces after 24 years, serving 8 1/2 years in the Navy and 16 years in the Army, was a Vietnam War veteran who earned a Purple Heart.

He is survived by one son, Chuck Boers; three daughters, Darlene Boers, Jennifer Boers and Toni Castanon; one brother, Nick Boers; one sister, Trudy Strano; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 6 p.m. Saturday with a 1 p.m. memorial service at the family home on Boise Street.

Raul R. Caballeros

Raul R. Caballeros, 35, of Henderson died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 25, 1966, in Chicago. A resident for two years, he was a carpenter.

He is survived by his parents, Dora and Hugo A. Caballeros of Chicago; and one sister, Maria Schaul of Schaumburg, Ill.

No local services are scheduled Burial will be in Chicago. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Jesus D. Lozoya 'Chuny' Delgado

Jesus D. Lozoya "Chuny" Delgado, 59, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for 38 years, he was born Nov. 14, 1941, in Mexico.

He is survived by one brother, Jose Lozoya; and three sisters, Maria Garcia, Belen Mendoza and Guierma Merancio.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is arranging private family services.

Christopher Todd Dickinson

Christopher Todd Dickinson, 41, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 27, 1960, in Nevada. He was an auto mechanic.

He is survived by one son, Nicholas; one daughter, Maryse; his mother, Margaret; and four brothers, John, Jerry, Dick and Mark.

A memorial service was scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Arianna Raquelle Dula

Arianna Raquelle Dula, 33, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born May 19, 1968, in Cleveland. A resident for four years, she was an airline vacation sales representative for National Airlines, an actress and vocalist and a member of the Screen Actors Guild.

She is survived by one daughter, Mikyala R. Steptoe, and her parents, Constance L. and Phillip G. Dula, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Gertrude and William Wilson Sr. of Youngstown, Ohio.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

Maria Asuncion Galindo

Maria Asuncion Galindo, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 15, 1918, in Ayacucho, Peru. A resident for several years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Jose Alvarado; one son, Tito Alvarado, and two daughters, Maria Luisa Alvarado and Kelly Cabrejos, all of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling arrangements.

Pasquale J. 'Pat' Gavreledes

Pasquale J. "Pat" Gavreledes, 86, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 16, 1915, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired longshoreman for the Port Authority, a World War II Army veteran and a member of Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa; one son, Gary Gavreledes; and one grandchild.

Visitation was scheduled one hour prior to 4 p.m. services today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Wanda Loree Hopkins

Wanda Loree Hopkins, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday. She was born July 8, 1922, in Blackwell, Okla. A resident for nine years, she was a retired bookkeeper in health care.

She is survived by one daughter, Candace Younger of Las Vegas; two sons, Dale Hopkins of Parowan, Utah, and David Hopkins of Arlington, Texas; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be in Texas. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Rhoda Jane Kahring

Rhoda Jane Kahring, 89, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 24, 1912, in Minnesota. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired waitress.

She is survived by one son, David Allen Roeder; one daughter, Rhoda Henderson; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

George W. Krueger

George W. Krueger, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 9, 1929, in Paris. A resident for 12 years, he was an engineer for NASA and IBM and a member of the Elks.

He is survived by his wife, Maureen; one son, Bryan Keefe Krueger; three daughters, Susan R. Warden, Christine F. LeDoux and Eryn R. Thompson; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Robert J. Linebaugh Sr.

Robert J. Linebaugh Sr., 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 28, 1921, in Springfield, Ill. A resident for seven years, he was a retired photographer, a World War Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Nevada Camera Club.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Tara Brascia, and one son, Robert Linebaugh Jr., both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Services will be in Illinois. Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road, is handling arrangements.

Helen A. Nagy

Helen A. Nagy, 82, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 26, 1919, in Ohio. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Ann Hustak of Las Vegas.

Esther H. Podlesak

Esther H. Podlesak, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born May 16, 1919, in Cleveland. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker and a member of Golden Wave Chapter 103, Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two daughters, LoisAnn M. Prock of Las Vegas and Beverly E. Podlesak of San Leandro, Calif.; one nephew, Richard L. Underwood of Las Vegas; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Sarita Jane Preti, 59, of Las Vegas died Nov. 1 in Las Vegas. She was born July 29, 1942, in Massachusetts. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Jason Irving; one daughter, Patricia Ida Thorne; two sisters, Kathy Mitt and Mary Downey; and two grandchildren.

Ysrael Rangel

Ysrael Rangel, 73, of Sandy Valley died Wednesday. He was born Jan. 24, 1928, in Dallas. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired owner of a television repair shop and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Dolores Mason of Pinion Hills, Calif., Carol Hudson of Highland, Calif., and Sandra Rangel of Chino, Calif.; two sons, Ysrael Rangel of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and Phillip Rangel of Etiwanda, Calif.; one brother, Moses Rangel of San Joaquin, Calif.; eight grandchildren and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow at noon Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Robert Scott

Robert Scott, 39, of Henderson died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 12, 1962, in Cleveland. A resident for many years, he was a gas station cashier and a veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Laura; and his parents, Walter and Dorothy Scott of Ohio.

Alma J. Shafer

Alma J. Shafer, 72, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. A senior citizens center representative, she was born Jan. 25, 1929, in Colorado.

She is survived by two sons, Dean Shafer of Henderson and Jay D. Shafer of Sparks; one daughter, Valeria Busch of Caliente; one brother, Buck Doolin of Sacramento; 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Tiny Sue Smith

Tiny Sue Smith, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local healthcare center. She was born July 16, 1927, in Hope, Ark. A resident for nine years, he was a retired microfiche processor for an aircraft manufacturer.

She is survived by her husband, James E.; one daughter, Connie Sue Jones of Enid, Miss.; one son, Johnny "Pete" Peterson of Las Vegas; two brothers, Perry Robberts of Banning, Calif., and Chuck Robberts of LaMarque, Texas; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.

Leota Walls

Leota Walls, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 1, 1925, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired assembly worker.

She is survived by her husband, Manley; three sons, Charles William Walls, Kenneth Lee Walls and Donald Eugene Walls; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Edith Zarachowicz

Edith Zarachowicz, 79, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born Feb. 23, 1922, in Winnipeg, Alberta. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired slot attendant.

She is survived by her husband, Edward F.; one daughter, Linda Doremus of Henderson; one son, Mark Zarachowicz of Chardon, Ohio; and five grandchildren.

Clarence Zink, 73, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 18, 1927. A resident for many years, he was retired.
