Mary Ann Bruun

Mary Ann Bruun, 75, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. She was born May 12, 1928, in Columbus Grove, Ohio. A resident for 12 years, she was a secretary.

She is survived by three sisters, Helen J. Lucas, Ruth Greise and Virginia Lang.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangments. Out-of-town arrangements are by Hartman's Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, Ohio.

Marianita Margarita 'Nita' Burnett

Marianita Margarita "Nita" Burnett, 31, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born July 13, 1972, in San Francisco. A resident for 28 years, she was an MGM Grand cocktail waitress and a 1991 Bishop Gorman High School graduate who attended UNLV.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew J.; her parents, Marian and Curt Adams, and four sisters, Cassandra Adams, Crystal Adams, Carmen Adams and Cecilia Adams, all of Las Vegas; five brothers, Curtis L. Adams of Portland, Ore., Carmello Adams, Charles Adams and Carlos Adams, all of Las Vegas, and Carrillo Adams of Wooster, Ohio; and her grandparents, Albert and Margaret Zenizo of Tucson.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until noon service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Emily Jeanette Carlile

Emily Jeanette Carlile, 52, of Springfield, Mo., died Thursday in Springfield. She was born March 15, 1951, in Topeka, Kan. A former Las Vegas resident, she co-authored a foundation grant for the Westport, Mo,. free health clinic, was president of the PTA and voted Outstanding Friend of Greenwood by the alumni of Greenwood Laboratory School.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. John R.; one son, Robert Matthew "Matt" Carlile; one daughter, Katherine Walker Carlile; her father, John Oliver Walker of Topeka; and one brother, John Christopher Walker of Wichita, Kan.

Thieme-Shadel-Hicks Funeral Service, Rivermonte, Mo., handled arrangements.

Allen 'Big Al' Cason

Allen "Big Al" Cason, 56, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 15, 1947, in Paterson, N.J. A resident for seven years, he was a retired assembly line supervisor for an automobile manufacturer and a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Bee Liles-Cason; four daughters, Charlotte R. Cason, Tamika, Charlene and Toni; two sons, Joshua and Brent; one sister, Carol L. Ziselman; and one granddaughter.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Janine C. Edwards

Janine C. Edwards, 22, of Henderson died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 26, 1981, in Liberty, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, she was a hotel front desk clerk and a 1999 graduate of Advanced Technology Academy.

She is survived by one daughter, Destiny Poulter of Las Vegas; her parents, Brenda Edwards of Henderson and David Edwards of North Carolina; two half-sisters, Sara Simpson of Las Vegas and Beth Edwards of North Carolina; one half-brother, Andrew Edwards of North Carolina; and her grandparents, Carol Zieres of North Branch, N.Y., and Andrew Edwards of Highland, N.Y.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Metropolitan Community Church of Las Vegas, 1140 Almond Tree Lane, No. 301. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Thelma M. Hamill

Thelma M. Hamill, 90, of Keenesburg, Colo., died Friday in a care center. She was born Jan. 30, 1913, in Canada. A former Las Vegas resident from 1981 to 2002, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Dunbar of Colorado and Shirley LaPierre of Michigan; two sons, Frank Ayotte and Ron Ayotte, both of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today and Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Clarence R. Hart

Clarence R. Hart, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 14, 1917, in Ohio. A resident for five years, he was a retired construction foreman, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3761 in Baltimore, Ohio, and was an honorary lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion, one son and several great-grandchildren.

He is survived by three daughters, Darlene M. Falcon and Raya Sue DeShazo, both of Las Vegas and Carol Ann Loveall of Racine, Wis.; two sons, David K. Hart of Groveport, Ohio, and George A. Hart of Logan, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren.

Out-of-town services will be arranged by Spence Funeral Home, Canal Winchester, Ohio. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled local arrangements.

Joshua N. Munsey

Joshua N. Munsey, 24, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born July 10, 1979, in Philadelphia. A resident for 16 years, he was the goodwill ambassador of the Southern Nevada Muscular Dystrophy Association 1990-1992.

He is survived by his parents, Deborah and John Munsey III, four sisters, Colleen Singleton, Katie Munsey, Stacey Munsey and Siobhan Munsey, and one brother, John Munsey IV, all of Henderson; and grandparents, Edith Nestor of Las Vegas and John Munsey Jr. of Norristown, Pa.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Ann Miller Pierson

Ann Miller Pierson, 87, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 8, 1916, in Monarch, Pa. A resident for nine years, she was a retired hotel sales hostess.

She is survived by her husband, Roland; two sons, John Pierson of Las Vegas and Roland Pierson Jr. of Jackson, N.J.; two sisters, Pauline of Pennsylvania and Dorothy of Virginia; one brother, George Miller of Pennsylvania; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Wisdom Byzantine Catholic Church, 2120 Lindell Road. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Sue Romans

Sue Romans, 48, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A cook, she was born Jan. 13, 1955, in Germany.

She is survived by one daughter, Danette Dee Barber of North Las Vegas; one brother, Mark Hamlin of Las Vegas.

Patsy 'Pat' Velardo Jr.

Patsy "Pat" Velardo Jr., 78, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 29, in Youngstown, Ohio. A resident for 42 years, he was a World War II Army veteran and a retired employee of the Las Vegas Valley Water District.

He is survived by one daughter, Patricia Rice, and one son, Chuck Velardo, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Cydni Rene Wachter

Cydni Rene Wachter, 49, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born July 23, 1954, in Maywood, Calif. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Ted; one son, Teddy Wachter of Inglewood, Calif.; one daughter, Michele Wachter of Athens, Greece; her father, Robert Martini of Los Alamitos, Calif.; her mother, Irene Gelobter, and one sister, Gwen Gorgun, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation was scheduled 1-5 p.m. today in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service. Graveside services will follow Tuesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Margaret Louise Worley

Margaret Louise Worley, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday. A retired payroll clerk, she was born April 28, 1926, in Thomasville, N.C.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; two daughters, Donna Thompson of San Diego and Andre Worley of Port Angeles, Wash.; two sons, Bartholomew Fucile and Larry Worley Jr., both of Las Vegas; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Barbara Alberta Yuzon

Barbara Alberta Yuzon, 63, of Henderson died Sept. 14 in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1940, in Honolulu. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Moeses; three sons, Pharaoh Yuzon and Byron Michael Yuzon, both of Henderson, and Craig Peter Yuzon of Pleasant Grove, Utah; one daughter, Roxanna Ayakawa of Henderson; and 11 grandchildren.
