School evacuation
A Las Vegas elementary school is back in session after students and staff evacuated because of a strong odor.
Southwest Gas Company responded about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to the Sandy Searles Miller Elementary School at 4851 East Lake Mead Blvd., west of North Nellis Boulevard, a spokeswoman confirmed.
Firefighters were also enroute to check the odor complaint.
Shortly after 11 a.m., authorities allowed the students and staff to return to the school.
