The spring weather pattern continues today and Thursday for the Las Vegas Valley, with highs in the upper 70s today and near 81 degrees Thursday before a chance of April showers on Friday drops temperatures once again.
The National Weather Service says that the north to northwest winds will continue today between 15 and 20 mph with gusts up to 23 mph possible this afternoon.
Thursday repeats today's weather with broken clouds and warmer air before the temperatures drop to around 70 for a daytime high on Friday accompanied by a possible isolated shower. The best chance of rain will be in the surrounding mountains.
Winds will pick up late Thursday into Friday with gusts up to 40 mph possible in the Colorado River Valley, including Lakes Mead and Mojave on Friday afternoon.
The weather service forecasts continued days alternating between a slight warming trend to windy, cooler conditions into the middle of next week.
