You think newspapers here are tough

If you think newspapers here are tough on The Man Formerly Known As Governor, check what the cheeky Lahontan Valley News did to him this week. In an editorial giving state Sen. Bob Coffin credit for his plan to tax acts of prostitution, the paper first invoked that memorable quote by Ø: “I’m not a supporter of legalizing prostitution in Nevada. So by taxing it, there’s a recognition of the legality of it. And that’s all I want to say.” And the paper’s take: “Sounds a little hypocritical for a governor who escorted a former Las Vegas cocktail waitress to her car in 2006 after a night of drinking and has been seen with two different women outside his marriage. Governor, run the state like a business and leave personal feelings out of it.” Ouch. That will leave a mark.
