Who are the leaders of the Republican Party and what are they trying to accomplish?
Our two-party system is the best way for our democracy to survive and to be a credible world leader, but Republican leaders appear to making a mockery of this idea.
Over the past eight years the ruling Republican Party led America into an illegal Iraq war, presided over economic disaster and greatly degraded our foreign policy standings — yet the Republican Party is still trying to dictate policy.
The majority of the American people made a strong statement for change in the past election and the Republicans still don’t get it.
After reviewing points in the Republicans’ proposed budget, one must ask: Are they for real or did they ask a group of fifth graders to put it together? What is their point?
This is the time for our country to unite and support the ideas the Democrats put forth to stimulate our recovery and boost our world standing. It is not the time to listen to the constant negativity of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly.
President Barack Obama’s popularity in America and worldwide is at high levels.
Are the foolish people who are trying to reestablish the Republican Party blind to this fact?
