Dozens of children were all wet Saturday during an egg hunt the Henderson Parks and Recreation Department hosted at the Silver Springs outdoor pool, 1951 Silver Springs Parkway.

The young egg-seekers dove in the water to collect as many plastic eggs as possible on the surface or at the bottom. Each child received a prize and those who collected silver or gold eggs received free swimming passes.

Bela Duffy collected 36 eggs partly because she was able to touch the bottom at the 3-foot-deep end of the pool, she said.

Seven-year-old Kiara Cooke was tired after she and her brother Kyle, 9, gathered 46 eggs together.

“I can’t feel my legs,” she said.
