Coroner identifies teen found shot to death

Fatal shooting

A 16-year-old boy found lying on a sidewalk with several gunshot wounds has been identified.

The Clark County Coroner's Office said the death of Juian Romo of Las Vegas was ruled a homicide.

Metro Police responded to a call of shots fired about 5:14 p.m. Thursday and found the teenager lying on the sidewalk with several gunshot wounds, police said.

The teenager was taken from the sidewalk in front of 4860 Stanley Avenue to University Medical Center's Trauma Unit, where he died of his wounds, police said.

Police are investigating the incident as a gang-related shooting.

There are no descriptions of suspects or a vehicle at this time, police said.
