Robert Lloyd Blue
A father accused of chaining his daughter to a bed to keep her from eating was sentenced to prison on Tuesday.
The father, 53-year-old Robert Blue, received a sentence of 15 years. He could be eligible for parole in five years.
Blue was arrested Jan. 14 on charges of child abuse and endangerment with a deadly weapon, child abuse and endangerment and false imprisonment with a deadly weapon, according to court records.
He pleaded guilty in February to felony child abuse and neglect charges.
Authorities said Blue was arrested after he was accused of beating his 15-year-old daughter and chaining her to a bed.
The girl's parents put locks on refrigerator and pantry doors and Blue chained the girl for two days because he believed she had snuck food into her room, authorities said.
Blue had asked for probation, claiming he suffered from health problems.
