Cool, windy weather in forecast until Saturday

The Las Vegas Valley should see a gradual warming trend with continued northern winds 8 to 14 mph gusting to 18 mph today.

No rain or snow showers are expected in the valley today after Wednesday's wild weather, but scattered to broken clouds could pass through the valley until late today.

The official record set at McCarran International Airport Wednesday shows a high of 59 degrees and a low of 40 degrees with the normal high and low 78 degrees and 54 degrees for this time of year.

Today the high temperature is expected in the mid 60s and the low in the upper 40s to mid 50s tonight.

By Friday daytime temperatures should climb into the mid 70s and by Sunday the mid 80s.

Monday and Tuesday could bring the first daytime highs of 90 degrees or warmer, before another storm system approaches with winds that will lower temperatures by 8 to 10 degrees.
