For Trekkers or Trekkies in Las Vegas awaiting the official May 8 debut of the movie "Star Trek" in theaters, early show tickets are on sale today.
For a short time "Star Trek" will be beamed into IMAX theaters at Red Rock, Sunset and Aliante resorts.
An advance showing at 7 p.m. on May 7 is also on sale.
Participating theater chains include AMC, National Amusements, Pacific/ArcLight and the Regal Entertainment Group.
Showtime and film information can be viewed at www.REGmovies.com. Tickets may also be purchased at box offices of theater kiosks.
The Bad Robot's production of J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" is presented by Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment.
