A watershed moment in Nevada government occurred this week: The Man Formerly Known as Governor has a new slogan. It appears that “no new taxes” no longer does the trick. More words are necessary. And they are: “The people of Nevada deserve a government that works for them, not against them.” The slogan adorns a banner that is now hanging above Ø’s office, with attribution to the man who occasionally works in the Capitol and apparently is proud of his, ahem, cleverness. Seems to me it’s reversed, though. In every public building, in every private workplace, perhaps in every home, banners should fly that are emblazoned with this slogan: “The people of Nevada deserve a governor who works for them, not against them.”
