Sarah Elizabeth Forrester, 81, of Emmett, Idaho, died April 14 at a local care center in Emmett.

Forrester was born on July 9, 1927, at Vonore, Tenn., to L.C. and Dede Hicks Howard. She was reared and educated at Madison, Tenn.

She married John Forrester on July 23, 1945, at Chatsworth, Ga. They lived in Madisonville, Tenn., for a year, then moved to the Stibnite, Idaho, area where they resided until 1952. They lived at Yellow Pine and Grandview before moving to Boulder City in 1953. In 1986, they moved to Emmett, where they have since resided.

She is survived by her husband; four sons, Farrell (Marrietta) Forrester and Jim Forrester, both of Henderson, John Forrester Jr. of Emmett and Ed (Gillian) Forrester of Boulder City; a daughter, Sheryl (Terry) Brennan of Emmett; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one sister.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a grandson.

The family would like to thank the staff at Emmett Rehab and Health Care in Emmett for the wonderful care they provided for Forrester. Memorials may be made to Emmett Rehab and Health Care, 714 N. Butte, Emmett, Idaho 83617.

Services were April 17. Potter Chapel handled the arrangements.

E.G. Marshall

Elmer George (E.G.) Marshall died early April 19 at his home in Boulder City. He was 76 years old.

He was born Oct. 26, 1932, in Flasher, N.D., the son of Arthur Marshall and Anna Bachmeier. He graduated from Father Flanagan's Boys Town High School in 1951, lettering in boxing and wrestling.

He served with the 6th Infantry Regiment in Berlin, Germany. Following his honorable discharge, he came to Boulder City.

He started and developed his construction company, E.G. Marshall Construction, in Boulder City. He partnered with the late Claude Moore on several projects. Marshall earned his general contractors license in 1989.

He was awarded a lifetime membership to the Boys Town National Alumni Association. He was also elected to the National Board of Trustees Boys Town and served eight years.

He was also a member of the Boulder City Elks Lodge.

His passions were flying, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Ramona; daughter Georgia McClain and her husband, Rusty; daughter Mickey Walker and her husband, Don; grandchildren Lynette, Sara and Austin; and great-grandchildren Christian, Caitlyn and McKenzie.

A funeral Mass will be said at St. Andrew Catholic Community at 11 a.m. April 24. Family and friends will meet at the Hacienda Hotel following Mass.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to Boys Town Nevada, 891 N. Mojave Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89101.
