Letter to the editor:

Valley’s tailgaters: Rude, dangerous

I would like to ask the people of Nevada a question:

When you are walking through your house, or walking through a grocery store, do you walk closely behind other people, almost stepping on their heels, and invading their personal space?

Wouldn’t you consider that to be extremely rude behavior?

Then why do thousands of you routinely tailgate other cars, crowding their drivers and invading their space?

Apparently you don’t realize it, but this too is extremely rude behavior.

I’m not talking about tailgating slow-moving cars in the left lane. Most tailgaters routinely tailgate any car in front of them, whether that car is going slow or fast, and no matter what lane the car is in.

Tailgating is also very dangerous, and it causes a lot of accidents.

Nevada drivers, you need to realize that tailgating is extremely rude behavior. If you tailgate, you are a rude person.

Back off!
