If you've got outside activities today, it looks like the weather will cooperate — sunny skies, warm weather and only light to moderate breezes are in the forecast for Las Vegas.
The National Weather Service said this morning's low temperatures will start out around 56 degrees. Today's high temperature for Las Vegas will be near 78 degrees, which is about normal for late April.
The weather service also said the high winds have finally left the valley.
Unlike Friday, when wind gusts as high as 40 mph were recorded at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas and 73 mph in the Red Rock Remote Automated Weather Station, today's winds will be light from the northwest at 3 to 7 mph, possibly reaching moderate breezes at 11 to 23 mph, the weather service said.
Tonight's skies will be mostly clear, with the low falling to 58 degrees and north-northwest winds between 3 and 5 mph.
Stronger winds are expected Monday. Light winds will become southerly between 18 and 21 mph, with some gusts as high as 29 mph, the weather service said.
More sunny skies and warm weather are expected through the middle of the week, with highs in the upper 70s and lows in the high 50s and low 60s, the weather service said.
