Three juveniles who were among six people arrested in the brutal March stabbing attack and robbery of a pregnant woman and her husband will be tried as adults, Metro Police said today.

The woman and her husband were walking near Harmon Avenue and Carmine Street at about 11 p.m. on March 2 when they were approached by several young men, said Lt. Clint Nichols. The robbery took place northeast of Boulder Highway between Flamingo Road and Tropicana Avenue.

During the robbery, both the man and the woman were stabbed and had to be hospitalized. The woman had 11 stab wounds around her hands, upper arms and face, while her husband received about 23 penetrating knife wounds and was in critical condition for a time, Nichols said. The unborn baby survived the attack.

The names of the three adults were released after their arrests but authorities didn't identify three teenagers because of their age. On Monday, Metro Police identified the teens, saying everyone involved in the alleged crime has been indicted on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery, robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and two counts of battery with a deadly weapon with substantial bodily harm.

The adults are 21-year-old Branden K. Lindus, 18-year-old Jesus Delatorre and 19-year-old Rigoberto Santivanez. The teenagers were identified as Erick Javier, Jason Burguin and Jonathan Nunez.
