Bank talking restructuring with Fontainebleau

Bank of America and developers of a $3 billion casino resort in Las Vegas are in talks to restructure its financing to finish construction.

BofA spokeswoman Shirley Norton said Tuesday that the bank continued to negotiate with Fontainebleau Las Vegas, even after the developers sued the bank last week saying it and 10 other banks pulled back on $800 million in funding.

Fontainebleau says it needs the money to finish the 3,800-room hotel and pay contractors.

Fontainebleau spokesman Dave Satterfield characterizes the talks as "constructive conversations" but says the company's expectations have not changed.

Also named in the lawsuit are JPMorgan Chase, Merrill Lynch Capital Corp. and eight other banks.
