Police Blotter:

Bust nets meth, pills, more than $1,000

Thomas Healing

Recently I was approached and asked if I would like to take over the duties and responsibilities of writing the weekly police blotter. Dan Jennings, who previously had the distinction of writing it, decided after much thought and consideration that he has contributed enough and would like to allow someone else to hold the position. Sgt. Jennings is going to be a tough act to follow, as he is a very accomplished writer and police officer. I only hope that I can step into his shoes and satisfy the readers; it will be difficult endeavor but I will do my best.

I bring with me my own personal experiences and training as a writer which go back to my college days. I attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where I received an excellent education. I have worked for three different law enforcement agencies in Nevada and I am currently the community-oriented police officer for the residents of San Felipe Drive. I look forward to bringing the readers as much pertinent information as available and will do everything in my power to ensure that Boulder City remains the safest place to live, work and visit in southern Nevada.

One suspect inside the apartment had two felony warrants out of Las Vegas and the occupant was arrested on several charges. Child Protective Services took custody of the juvenile found in the home.
