Juvenile arrested in shooting of 12-year-old boy

Metro Police have arrested a suspect in connection with Tuesday's gang-related shooting of a 12-year-old boy in the 6200 block of Don Zarembo Avenue.

The suspect is another juvenile who has been booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center, police said.

The 12-year-old victim was shot in the torso and taken to University Medical Center for treatment.

The suspect has not been charged as an adult, police said. He is charged with one count of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, battery with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, minor in possession of a firearm and possession of an unregistered firearm.
