Summerlin deaths

Fred Ehrsam

Fred Ehrsam, 85, of Las Vegas, died Feb. 11.

A 13-year resident, Ehrsam was born Dec. 13, 1923, in New York City. He was a retired newspaper pressman and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He is survived by Claire Ehrsam, his wife of 54 years, of Las Vegas; sons Frederick Ehrsam Jr. of Boston, Eric Ehrsam of Memphis, Tenn., and Scott P. Ehrsam of Washington, Ill.; and grandchildren Ashley Czajka and Frederick Ehrsam III.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristine Czajka.

A memorial service was held Feb. 17 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

A graveside service was held Feb. 18 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Alfred Howard

Alfred L. Howard, 83, of Las Vegas, died Feb. 13.

A 20-year resident, Howard was born Jan. 30, 1926, in Los Angeles. He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War.

Howard is survived by his wife, Marge Howard of Las Vegas; sons Bradley Howard of Anaheim, Calif., and Gregory Howard of Oregon; stepsons John E. Hurley of Cheyenne, Wyo., and William J. Hurley of Corona, Calif.; stepdaughters Martha Burgoon of Coto de Caza, Calif., Evelyn Brady of Vancouver, Wash., Ruth M. Hildebrand of Garden Grove, Calif., and Maureen Hodges of La Habra, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Harry Watson

Harry J. Watson, 77, of Las Vegas, died Feb. 10.

A 20-year resident, Watson was born Sept. 7, 1931, in Snoqualmie Falls, Wash. He was a retired optical engineer in aerospace and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Watson is survived by his wife, Mary L. Watson of Las Vegas; daughter, Melinda S. Comer of Las Vegas; sons Kevin M. Watson of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Peter M. Watson of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be private.
