James Helm, 77, died July 10.
A 38-year Henderson resident, he was born Aug. 4, 1931, in Flint, Mich., to Gordon A. and Lucille Helm.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1950 to 1952. After his honorable discharge, he married Callie "Earleen" Kirk.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Rudy Helm of Shreveport, La., Cheryl Carver of Las Vegas and Michael Helm and Leiann Pickering of Henderson; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 15 at the Palo Verde Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Palm Mortuary handled the arrangements.
