Henderson deaths

Rose Boehm

Rose Marie Boehm, 85, of Henderson died May 18.

She was born Oct. 30, 1923, in North Dakota, and lived most of her life in North Dakota and Montana. She worked as a restaurant owner/operator most of her life. She owned Boehm's Pizza Place in Red Lodge, Mont., from 1973 to 1976.

She is survived by her son Jack; daughters Ellett, Maria and Mary; and brother Adam Ell of North Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob, and son, Doran.

Memorial donations may be made to Odyssey Harbor House of Las Vegas.

She was interred at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Sunrise Cremation and Burial Society handled the arrangements.

Neva Brown

Neva June Brown of Henderson passed away May 24 after a two-year battle with cancer.

She was born Feb. 16, 1965, at Boulder City Hospital. Her family built the first house in the area that is now Mission Hills in Henderson. Her childhood was filled with horses and adventure in the desert.

Her family moved to Phoenix in her sophomore year of high school, where she made many lifelong friends. In 1992, she met her husband, Scott, to whom she was married 16 years and had three children.

She spent the last 10 years of her career in the medical records field, most recently at Ortho Sport Physical Therapy. She also penned children's books.

She is survived by her husband, Scott, sons Cassidy and Kiley, daughter Casey; parents Dave and Bonnie Somers of Snowflake, Ariz.; brothers Richard Albright of Darby, Mont., Lidge Albright of Henderson and Clint Albright of Las Vegas; stepbrother Tony Somers of Flagstaff, Ariz., and stepsister Kristy Johnson of Alb, N.M.; and in-laws and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Albright, of Henderson.

Services will be held at noon June 6 at the Neighborhood Church, 203 W. Basic Road, Henderson, with a reception from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the American Legion BMI Post 40, 425 E. Van Wagenen St., Henderson.

Sunrise Cremation and Burial Society handled the arrangements.

Harley Dickensheets Jr.

Harley Wells Dickensheets Jr., 73, died May 20 at his home in Eckert, Colo.

He was born May 1, 1936, to Harley Wells Dickensheets Sr. and Helen May Lord in Denver. He grew up in Eckert and graduated in 1954 from Cedaredge High School in Cedaredge, Colo. He attended University of Colorado, Boulder.

He married Barbara A. Paulson Aug. 31, 1963, in Paonia, Colo., and the couple had five sons. They lived in Henderson for many years before moving to Eckert, Colo., in 1992.

He worked for the U.S. Air Force as a environmental compliance officer and was active in Boy Scouts, serving as a Cub master, as well as in his church as the youth group leader for several years.

He served as an elder for the Henderson Presbyterian Church and as vice moderator and moderator of the Nevada Presbytery. He was also a member of the men's golf club in at Deer Creek Golf Course in Cedaredge.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Eckert, Colo.; sons Harley and Joni of Greeley, Colo., Scott and Lauri of Henderson, Harold and Virginia of Gaithersburg, Md., Jess and Maria, and Paul, both of Las Vegas; identical twin brother Harvey of Eckert, Colo.; brother Fred and Patricia of Bozeman, Mont., and sister Betty and Edward Foxley of Rocklin, Calif.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by sisters Janice and Edith.

Services were held May 23 in Eckert, Colo.
