Henderson deaths

Margaret Minnie

Margaret Ann Minnie, 62, of Las Vegas died April 27.

An area resident for 17 years, she was born Dec. 25, 1946, in Rochester, N.Y. She was a retired human resources employee who worked 16 years for Mirage and Wynn hotels.

She is survived by her mother, Josephine Crosetti of Rochester, N.Y.; and son Mark and daughter-in-law Amy Minnie of Las Vegas.

No services are planned.

Valley Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Jerald Paiz

Jerald W. Paiz, 47, died April 8 at his home in Henderson.

The lifetime Southern Nevada resident was born Feb. 5, 1962, in Las Vegas and was a security guard.

He is survived by wife, Mollie, of Henderson; children Sara, Joseph and Michael Paiz of Henderson; mother Anna Paiz-Hughes and stepfather Robert Hughes of Goldendale, Wash.; sisters Racie Paiz of Washington, D.C., Teddie Paiz-Hughes of California and Raquel Mirza-Hughes of Goldendale, Wash.; and brothers David Paiz of Bolivia and Ted Paiz of Las Vegas.

Services were held April 14 at Palm Mortuary-Henderson.

Dorothy Tillinghast

Dorothy L. Tillinghast, 84, died April 15.

A Boulder City resident since 1981, she was born in Philadelphia Jan. 23, 1925.

She served in the WAC-Army Air Corps during World War II. During that time, she met her husband of 64 years, Arthur Tillinghast.

She earned a doctoral degree in education and worked in the Los Angeles education system for more than 27 years.

She and her husband traveled the world extensively. They were members of the International Caravan Association.

She is survived by her brother, Michael Levesque and his wife, Colleen, of Van Nuys, Calif.; niece Jaime Gallegos and her husband, Mike, of Las Vegas; and sister-in-law Carm Fulford.

Services were held April 29 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.
