Four Vegas crooners put their personal spins on the songs of Frank Sinatra this weekend in the popular production “Shades of Sinatra.”
Vivacious jazz and big band singer Lisa Smith joins Carmine Mandia, Ryan Baker and Larry Liso for three evenings of entertainment at the Suncoast that will transport fans back to the days when Vegas was the center of the universe for classy performances by legends of the industry.
Mandia, Baker and Liso had separate careers going when they joined forces five years ago in this dynamic show that pays homage to Sinatra.
“Shades of Sinatra” was created by Kelly Clinton in 2005, introducing the act in the lounge at Turnberry Place. Today she and Ed Mathews produce the show, with music arranged and directed by Ned Mills.
Smith joined the group in 2006, bringing her extensive theatrical background and adding an exciting female presence and musical spark to the performance.
The performers don’t try to impersonate Sinatra, but instead capture the essence of his artistry.
Located on a 50-acre plot in northwest Las Vegas, Suncoast has something for the whole family — a hotel, a casino, a bowling center, restaurants and a movie theater.
The 64-lane bowling alley, arcade and movie theater cater to guests of all ages. The 500-seat showroom hosts a variety of headliners. Restaurants such as SC Prime Steakhouse and Bar, Cafe Siena and The Oyster Bar give guests a variety of options.
The casino measures in at 80,000 square feet with 2,400 video and slot machines, 37 table games, a 150-seat race and sports book and a 600-seat bingo hall.
Suncoast also includes full salon services at Pure Salon, a pool, fitness center and the resort is only steps away from the some of the best golfing in Las Vegas.
