Approximate location

Metro Police said they believe the deaths of three people found in a southeast Las Vegas Valley house Wednesday were the result of a murder-suicide.

Medical issues involving one of the three people may have triggered the incident, police said.

Clark County firefighters discovered the bodies about 5:30 p.m. in a house on Canna Drive, near Tropicana Avenue and Jimmy Durante Boulevard, police said.

Firefighters were called to the residence because of an odor of gas in the neighborhood. They went inside and shut off the natural gas, then discovered a suicide note inside the home, authorities said.

Metro homicide detectives arrived once the gas was shut off. A preliminary investigation revealed the deaths involving two men and a woman might have been murder-suicide, officials said.

The identities of the three people have not been released by police. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the cause of death.
