Stabbing location

Metro Police are looking for a man who stabbed a woman multiple times this morning in a group home for substance abusers.

Police Sgt. Andy Walsh said officers responded before 6 a.m. to the building near Spring Mountain Road and Decatur Boulevard. He said a woman was found with multiple stabs wounds to the arms and legs.

Metro spokesman Bill Cassell said the woman was taken to University Medical Center but her injuries don’t appear to be life-threatening.

Police said an investigation indicates the man was looking for another resident at the treatment facility when he became angry and took his frustration out by stabbing the woman, police said.

Police said it appears the victim and suspect didn't know each other.
