Fire truck accident injures woman in Boulder City

A Boulder City woman was airlifted to University Medical Center on Sunday night after she suffered injuries in an incident with a fire department truck.

Firefighters responded about 7:30 p.m. to a call regarding an electric pole fire near Nevada Highway and Yucca Street. No fire was found but widespread power outages were reported, authorities said.

As firefighters there began to respond to another fire alarm call, a Boulder City Fire Department vehicle was involved in an incident with a woman, authorities said. She was airlifted to UMC, where her condition is unknown.

Boulder City officials didn't release other details about the incident, but KTNV Channel 13 reported that a fire truck ran over a 77-year-old woman.
