Witnesses say men arguing about money before stabbing

Metro Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred near North 28th Street and East Bonanza Road on Thursday night.

Lt. Dan McGrath said a man in his 30s was stabbed in the abdomen about 9:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of Elm Avenue. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he is in critical condition, police said.

Witnesses reported that the victim was arguing with another man about money before the stabbing, police said.

Police said they have a general description of a suspect but aren’t releasing it to the public.
