House fire
A fire caused about $50,000 in damage to a vacant home this morning near downtown Henderson.
The Henderson Fire Department responded at 3:56 a.m. to a report of fire at 207 Pacific Ave., which is near Water Street and Lake Mead Boulevard. Firefighters arrived to find a large fire inside the single-family house, investigators said.
The fire was brought under control within 15 minutes and was confined to the house where it started. Investigators said the home was vacant and no one was displaced.
No one was injured in the fire and the cause is under investigation. The home is considered a total loss, investigators said.
