Things I Love:

Can we talk about Joan Rivers’ Vegas faves?

Joan Rivers

Celebrity, comedian and every star's red-carpet nightmare, Joan Rivers is a force to be reckoned with.

At the spry age of 77, the comic shows no sign of slowing down. A grandmother, pop culture icon, QVC jewelry mogul and Celebrity Apprentice alum, Rivers seems to be hitting her stride. Currently headlining at The Venetian, the no-topic-off-limits Rivers recently sat down with "Las Vegas Magazine" to talk about her love of Vegas

The Venetian: I work here and I love it. The fact that you can go to Venice (in Vegas) and sit in a gondola and have a gondolier sing to you, then get out and have ice cream in the open plaza while the mimes work ... it knocks my socks off.

Shopping: The shopping in Vegas is extraordinary. You have the best stores in the world here ... Michael Kors, Barneys and Annie Creamcheese Designer Vintage, where you can get really good vintage clothes.

Family friendly: When my grandson comes to visit, we go to the arcade at New York-New York and have a great time. And he loves to watch the pirate ships go down (Sirens of TI) — for free! M&M's World is a chocoholic's dream ... You can get your weight in M&Ms — that's my kind of Vegas.

Lavo: There's nothing more romantic than sitting outside at night when it's balmy and beautiful, and the view of the lights is just amazing.

Restaurants: I love First Food for the sliders and pretzels, and Nobu is fabulous; Melissa loves Dos Caminos.

Canyon Ranch SpaClub: They pamper the hell out of you and the prices are fair.

Entertainment: If you've never been here before, there are three things you must see: first go see a big show like Cirque du Soleil, they are so insane and you aren't going to see something like that in Toledo, Ohio. Then go see a personality, because if you haven't seen Joan Rivers, Jay Leno or Jerry Seinfeld onstage ... you have to see them in their own environment. Then go see a Broadway show ... you have Phantom — The Las Vegas Spectacular, Jersey Boys and The Lion King. Everything is in this city.
