Part of North Fifth Street in North Las Vegas will be closed this week while crews work on the road.
Public Works officials said North Fifth Street would be closed between San Miguel Avenue and Craig Road today through Thursday.
Crews will be grinding out worn portions of the road and installing new asphalt, officials said.
During the closure, motorists are encouraged to use Commerce Street as an alternative.
