Robin Sweet selected as interim director in Supreme Court role

CARSON CITY – The Nevada Supreme Court says Robin Sweet, an 11-year employee in the Administrative Office of the Court, has been selected as its interim director.

Sweet, who will earn $123,783 a year, succeeds Ron Titus.

Sweet will not have to take a 4.6 percent salary reduction or one furlough day a month as other state workers in the executive and legislative branches. The court said it returned enough unspent money from its budget to offset any savings from the furlough program of its staff.

The administrative office has 85 employees who do budgetary and statistical work and provide staffing for Supreme Court commissions and committees. It also helps in foreclosure mediation and judicial education.
