All westbound lanes of the Las Vegas Beltway at Eastern Avenue were reopened about 10 p.m. Friday, following a crash that snarled rush-hour traffic and closed part of the highway for more than four hours, police said.
Two westbound lanes were closed after about 30 gallons of fuel spilled from a tractor-trailer that crashed into the center median after a multi-vehicle crash, police said.
Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Chelita Rojas said units responded about 5:30 p.m. to reports of the crash. The tractor-trailer was “teetering” on the center median and leaking fuel, Rojas said.
Rojas said there were minor injuries. Eastbound lanes on the beltway remained open.
