Map of Galleria at Sunset
Between 20 and 30 Las Vegas area high school students will present a tobacco awareness project at the Galleria at Sunset mall in Henderson on Saturday.
The teens will be wearing black shirts, black pants and a sign with a number from one to 1,200, which represents the number of people who die daily from tobacco-related illnesses.
Eight students will speak briefly about tobacco-related deaths and provide informational brochures about lung health.
The project was created by Verbatim, a youth leadership program of the American Lung Association of America.
The program will be at 3 and 3:30 p.m. on the lower level in Kohl’s Court. The mall is located at 1304 Sunset Road.
