A man in a wheelchair who allegedly stabbed another person with a knife on Fremont Street led police on a short pursuit Sunday night, Metro Police said.
Metro spokesman Marcus Martin said the incident occurred at 9:51 p.m. Sunday when the suspect, whose name hasn't been released, stabbed someone in the hand during an altercation at the Fremont Street Experience. The victim was taken to University Medical Center's trauma unit, Martin said.
Police found the suspect, who is in his late 20s, a short time later and took him into custody, authorities said.
Martin said the man likely will be charged with assault with a deadly weapon stemming from the incident.
